About Us

Established in 1935 as a non-profit making trade association, The Builders' Conference is dedicated to providing tender & marketing information to the construction industry. In fact, during 2010 we celebrate our 75th year of serving the industry, continuously adapting to new technologies and our members requirements.

Today, our constantly increasing membership incorporates Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Consultants with turnovers from under £1m to over £1bn per annum.

We deal with information on approximately 10,000 tenders nationwide each year worth approximately £45bn.

Over the years, The Builders' Conference has set the standard for providing tender information, market intelligence and fulfilling educational needs, as well as championing the issues affecting members.

Today, the multifunctional website effectively acts as a search engine for the construction industry, where members have secure access to news, information and contacts.

Membership brings many benefits but, in summary, The Builders' Conference makes it easier for members to develop and manage their business plans effectively. In today's highly complex and competitive market, this has never been more important.

The latest BCLive monthly league table shows an incredible leap in the industry’s fortunes. But is this a sustainable trend or merely a blip, and what is the underlying message? So do you want the good news, or the bad? The good? OK. The BCLive league table has hit an all-time high of £2.677 billion, [...]

If you spent a year or so calling into your local coffee shop, paying £2 for your decaffeinated yak’s milk-infused frappuccino and was suddenly presented with a bill for £4 for the same item, you’d quickly notice the change in price. Similarly, if you had grown accustomed to paying – say – £7 per linear [...]
